The FRBC : Your gateway to France

France has a long and rich history of breeding Champion racehorses and breeding stock. Now as we commence the 21st century, the French Racing and Breeding Committee (FRBC) is a non-profitable association in charge of rolling back the frontiers of the French know-how and tradition in terms of racing and breeding racehorses.

Set up in 1999, this industry-financed organisation promotes all French racehorses abroad, thoroughbreds as well as AQPS (non-thoroughbreds) and Arabian horses. France is the home to great champions both on the flat and over jumps, and the FRBC acts as the promotional arm of a united industry to encourage the exportation of those French-bred racehorses.

The FRBC is here to offer impartial advice to foreigners interested in French racing. The FRBC can provide anyone who is interested with the information, know-how and practical assistance to facilitate the following in France :

  • purchasing a horse
  • becoming an owner
  • registering colours
  • choosing the right stallion
  • boarding a mare
  • buying a breeding farm
  • experiencing French racing
  • discovering French stud farms

Active in a large number of countries around the world, from Ireland and Turkey to Scandinavia and China, the FRBC attends the major sales and race meetings worldwide. Consequently a high proportion of foreign owners and breeders who have chosen France as their preferred base rely on us.

With  the financial support of FRANCE GALOP, the French Jockey Club, the Breeders’ Associations, the Bloodstock Agents Federation, the major French sales agencies and the Ministry of Agriculture, the FRBC welcomes people to France and helps lead them through various different processes, whatever their request and purpose of their trip to France. FRBC’s privileged position among the main protagonists means that information and access to services is as easy as possible.

We also offer a Buyers Incentive Scheme, reimbursing the transportation fares of all the buyers travelling to France from abroad to purchase horses at public auction, in Deauville at L’Agence Française and in Saint-Cloud at Goffs France.
