French Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association - Savoir-faire, a French word for breeding

For more than two centuries, France has been the breeding land by excellence. Key breeders from Europe, America and the Orient have chosen France and its rich and green pastures. This tradition continues for it is served today by a strong body of committed men and women, by an ideal climate and affordable land but also by unique infrastructures in Europe.

French staff is fully qualified to offer many different services for all clients, seasonal or yearly boarding, yearling sale preparation, breaking and pre-training.

French’s stud farms are renowned throughout the world. They are settled in the West, South West, East and Central regions of France but also in Normandy where the main stud farms are located, thanks to its mild climate and its exceptional soil that goes from sand to clay to limestone, an excellent mixture that produces very good horses every year.

As a result, every year top class horses are bred in France. From legends like Sea Bird, Caro, Blushing Groom, Kenmare, Irish River and Urban Sea to name a few of today’s champions Vision d’Etat, Marchand d’Or, Behkabad, Sarafina, Lily of the Valley. Over the jumps, Kauto Star, Master Minded, Hurricane Fly, Binocular, Long Run already honoured French breeding.
