LISTED SUCCESS FOR RAIL LINK SIBLING
The Prix Matchem (Listed), disputed over 1800m at Maisons-Laffitte was the scene for an authoritive win by Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (Gr 1, 2400m) winner Rail Link's (Dansili) half-brother Mainsail (Oasis Dream). The Khalid Abdullah homebred won well by three lengths ahead of Star On The Rocks (Rock of Gibraltar), racing for Mme Daniel Melingue and Elie Lellouche, who fought courageously for second, and the Juddmonte second string from David Smaga's stable Moonday Sun (Mizzen Mast). This promising colt holds no future entries at the moment but having won his last two starts for Pascal Bary he looks set to have a bright future.
